Connected Mode

The premium model expected to run on connected mode in normal conditions. While in connected mode, it just listens for sensor triggers and passes it to SmartGard application. On detecting an alarm condition, SmartGard application starts the alarm sequence and it includes following activities

Generate Warning tone for a fixed time period if it is enabled
Send Alarm notification to server
Send SMS
Starts Wireless/Wired Hooters
Switch on lights
Initiate call through GSM
Initiate call through Land Line

The SmartGard Premium with its capability to provide uninterrupted security is well suited for financial institutions, jewelers and other business institutions with highest security requirements

Standalone Mode

The device is capable of working in offline mode once it is setup and synchronized with the SmartGard application running on the tablet. It switches to standalone mode when it detects a loss of connection with the tablet application. In the standalone mode, it still detects sensor trigger and starts the hooter as well as start dialing to the stored numbers using the land line. The device’s Stand Alone alarm sequence includes following activities

Send Alarm notification to server
Starts Wireless/Wired Hooters
Initiate call through Land Line

The premium model SmartGard is specially designed to meet high end security requirements and is capable of supporting wired sensors which is recommended for premises that needs high end security.
A built-in land line telephone dialer is available in this model which can be used to send alert calls. This dialer complements GSM dialer and SMS facility is available through the tablet controller. The premium model is equipped with an RS485 interface which helps to extend the device’s services to custom industrial control applications

The burglar Alarm in SmartGard USB supports more than 15 wireless sensors. On detecting any security threat it can start a warning tone in the tablet , start a wireless hooter and send SMS to user’s mobile phone( if tablet is connected to Wifi).

Semi Standard Mode

Unlike USB device smartGardWiFi controller is capable to switch to semi stand alone mode when disconnected from the SmartGard Tablet. This facility allows it to continue in armed mode even if it lost connection with application running on tablet.

In this mode it is still capable to detect sensor trigger and activate local hooter and and send a alarm trigger to SmartGardConnect *. SmartGardConnect service in turn send SMS and Imitate calls to configured numbers.*

SmartGard Wifi controller is more convenient to use as it is connected to the tablet through a Wifi connection. This give more mobility for the tablet compared to USB version. The controller can be fixed at a place which is convenient and secure.
